Parker's Siding's

Named in honour of our late exhibition manager Richard Parker who also initially over saw the beginning of this layout.

Parker's Siding's is a small section of double track mainline located in the Westcountry, spanning a large viaduct the valley below accomodates the sidings which serve an active china clay works.

Two separate ovals and relative "Fiddle Yards" to the rear give continous running. The lower level clay works provide for shunting activity therefoer something will always be visible and moving for most of the time.

At the time of writing (9th Feb 08) the first track sections were laid the previous Saturday with working sessions now taking place Wednesday evenings.

The Society's new "OO" layout under construction. Some photos and video clips (No sound) of initial stages.
